Dear Acceptance:
Life plays out in ways that puzzle us
Acceptance is the key to something called trust.
I begin with you……
YOU are the person that I once gave my all too,
when things turned sour, my hate grew deep towards you,
I felt angry….I despised…. I know longer could abide,
My heart fell apart as blood came down when I cried.
Acceptance is something that kept my sanity
I got tired of the hate and all this profanity.
My life was never about this pain and calamity.
I realized I couldn’t make this the end of me,
This was only the beginning, that I could see,
Life goes on as I thought to myself and things get better
My heart is at peace as I write this acceptance letter.
I soon realized I can’t hate you…….
My heart wont let me, even though my mind thinks untrue,
Matter of fact, I realized, I can’t hate any one,
It’s that acceptance and what it has done.
No need for change….
Acceptance is sometimes strange,
But it’s that exchange that keeps us in range.
Tonight as I write, I woke up and realized things are right,
Acceptance made me see such a beautiful sight
It began with YOU, without you it probably wouldn’t have occurred.
Life whispered in my ears and finally I heard.
